  Good hotel with character but one major failing.....it is so hot! Stayed here for a few nights and whilst the weather outside was ok the room was unbearable at night. Sweating for no reason at night and certainly was not the best nights sleep that's for sure. Good location to explore Carlisle but make sure you pre-book a fan as you are going to need it! Breakfast is good and staff welcoming. I wouldn't stay here again unless air con was installed!

  If you want something close to the station, look no further. This is on the door step. Literally. Room and (especially) bathroom quite dated. But it was comfy and convenient. Had a really good night's sleep. A bit of a refresh and this could be quite a nice hotel.

  1st night restless night.but husband hasnt beenn well. And differant surroundings. But yes would say hotel and staff very friendly.

  It's all in need of a renovation. The rooms are all a bit old and shabby now, not what you would expect from a higher end hotel chain. Plus, on the 2 nights I stayed there wasn't any hot water, although I was offer alternative accommodation, which I didn't accept as it was all booked through my work. Potential is there for a lovely hotel, they just need to spend some money on it.
